2. Information we collect
When you request the free guide, we collect your email address. Through our website, you may also choose to provide your first name, the type of building project and its stage. If you contact us, we receive the information in your message.
If you sign up through a Facebook or Instagram Instant Form, Meta collects the information you submit and makes that lead information available to us. We may also receive limited technical and advertising information, such as website visits, ad interactions and device or browser information, through analytics and advertising technologies.
3. Why we use your information
- To give you access to the free Owner-Builder Blueprint and, where applicable, send the guide by email.
- To respond to your questions or requests.
- To send occasional practical building advice, course news or other owner-builder updates when we have your consent or another lawful basis to do so.
- To understand website and advertising performance and improve our guide, website and communications.
- To manage our records and comply with applicable obligations.
4. Email updates and unsubscribing
Where you have agreed to marketing emails, we may send occasional owner-builder tips and updates through MailerLite. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in a marketing email, or by emailing us. Requesting the free guide does not require you to receive unrelated marketing emails.
5. Service providers and information sharing
We use service providers to operate our website and lead-generation activities. These include Cloudflare for website delivery, MailerLite for email forms and messages, and Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and Google for advertising and measurement. Where enabled, an integration service may transfer leads from Meta to our email platform.
These providers handle information under their own terms and privacy practices. Some information may be processed or stored outside Australia. We may also disclose information where required by law. We do not publish the details you submit in our signup forms.
6. Cookies and advertising measurement
Our website uses Google Ads measurement technology to understand visits and actions such as guide signups. Google and other providers may use cookies or similar technology in connection with advertising measurement. When you interact with ads or lead forms on Meta's platforms, Meta may also process related information under its privacy policy.
You can control cookies using your browser settings and available advertising privacy controls. Disabling cookies may affect measurement or some website features.
7. Storage and security
We take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold and use reputable service providers. No internet service is completely risk-free.
